Miss Earth USA 2021
Marisa Paige Butler
Marisa Butler of Maine was named Miss Earth USA 2021 on January 17 at the national finals held in Orlando. She will represent the USA at the Miss Earth international competition in 2021.
Marisa graduated Cum Laude from Stonehill College in Easton Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. She earned an athletic scholarship to Stonewall for soccer, lacrosse and cheerleading. Marisa studied abroad at King’s College London, where she specialized in Environmental and Political Economics.
Last year, Marisa was a Panelist for Climate Reality's Annual 24 Hours of Reality Event and she became a certified Leave No Trace Trainer. She once lived on a catamaran for two weeks off the coast of Puerto Rico with NOAA’s Corporative Shark Tagging Program, where she collected data on endangered sharks, the longest running shark study in the world. Marisa also grew up in front of a wildlife preserve where she assisted in rehabilitation for sick, injured and orphaned animals. She recently started a community clean up organization called ‘We Clean Trails’ inviting groups and individuals to clean up trails every weekend.
