Katia is a high school senior who has recently been accepted into Biola University Class of 2024 to begin a degree in Cinema and Media Arts. Her goal is to become a Television Talk Show host, entertainment writer, and producer. She was awarded a 2020 leadership role for Climate Reality and every year she volunteers with on Self Esteem Day with young girls just like herself. Katia is also looking forward to opening her online store called “GiGi Racquel” in Winter 2020.

Katia is the Founder of Project Breathe, a platform dedicated to raising awareness about air pollution and the small things that each person can do to help reduce this problem. She produces YouTube videos and photos of information on how to save energy at home and work. She was the recipient of the Scholastic Award for her school’s Dean’s List and by her city’s Mayor for her dedicated community service. Something that you may not know about Katia is that her great great great grandfather William Elbridge Gerry signed the Declaration Of Independence!
