Meredith has a Masters of Education from Valdosta State University focusing on Early Childhood and Special Education.

After her first born was diagnosed with dyslexia, Meredith set out on a journey to help other moms and their children conquer stereotypes and help encourage new ways of learning. She has a podcast and blog where she covers tips and tricks for those struggling and she is even a member of the International Dyslexia Association in Georgia. She has traveled to France, Jamaica and Canada but Meredith says her favorite travel destination was when she had the opportunity to student teach in Great Britain!

Meredith’s vision is a world where everyone can read and people abstain from single use plastics. She was awarded Atlanta’s Woman of Power and Influence and has made an appearance on Real Talk TV Show for Atlanta and Company. The best advice she has ever been given is to look forward to spending her life with a man, but to never depend on one. She has volunteered for Odyssey Atlanta, the I Am Not Trash Project and has been a Sunday school teacher for four years.

Something you may not know about Meredith is that her name means protector of the sea! How fitting!
